Introducing Moline Chiropractor Dr. Curt Rexroth

I can’t say, “I was a skeptic.” I can’t say, “I just wish I had known what I know now.” I can’t even say that my family thought I was crazy,” because my family has been in chiropractic since 1904.

I did not choose to become a chiropractor right out of high school however.  First I had to explore other areas of interest. Then, after earning my Bachelors and Masters Degrees, I taught at Black Hawk College for 14 years before deciding to become a chiropractor. I then taught at Palmer College of Chiropractic while studying and continued teaching there while in my first decade of practice in Moline, Illinois.

My Observation

I’ve noticed that new patients were coming in with more serious problems then when I began practicing 20 years ago and I wondered why. I knew that the population is aging but I also knew that nutrition has gotten much worse. It is difficult and sometimes impossible to get desired results using chiropractic alone when medication side effects, and nutritional imbalances are complicating the patient’s problem.

That is why I’ve recently earned certification in Clinical Nutrition, and enrolled in a Functional Diagnostic Medicine program that teaches natural methods to heal and balance health. The Rexroth Clinic offers a true Holistic Health experience.

Personally

Outside the practice you will find me enjoying my family, playing tennis, working on computer projects and writing music. My wife and I enjoy dinner with friends and nights out at the movies. My daughter is studying at the Kansas City Art Institute and my son is a Junior at Moline High School.

A patient asked me how often I see a chiropractor. That question surprised me. I told him, “I see a chiropractor every time I look in the mirror.” Of course I also get a regular check up from my chiropractor about once every month. I can go that long between adjustments because I eat right, get quality sleep and play tennis three times per week.

Dr. Rexroth Asks some important questions of interest to Moline residents - Chiropractor Moline Dr. Rexroth Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
